This summer has been crazy so far at Stella (which is great) but it means I haven't been able to spend as much time as I would like producing content, answering questions, or moderating the discussions. While I have some new content in the works, my schedule is dictating that it will be released in a slow trickle over the next few months.

Hello Stella Culinary Community, just wanted to give everyone a quick update on forum posting and moderation. As you know, we were having serious problems in the past with spam, even though we had a lot of annoying filters. Over the summer, because I was too busy to properly moderate the forums, I limited the posting to Stella Trusted members only.

Hey SC Community, just wanted to give you a heads up on what's been going on lately.

For the past couple of months there's been some real issues with the website loading slowly, making it extremely frustrating for the users of this site and forum (and your's truly). I've been working with a programmer for the past week and a half, and as we were fixing some of the issues, the site was up and down.

I posted a question in the sourdough section. Last check over fifty people had read it. But, now it appears to be gone. I checked unanswered and searched, nothing. Was data last or are some questions just deleted?

I don't know how practical it would be but I, for one, would find the following enhancements useful:

A 'New and Updated Topics' link on the main menu (Home...About.. etc). This would save having to go back via 'Forum' each time . I know you must think I'm a lazy wotsit but if you have a lot to catch up on, it can be very tiresome.

An 'Ignore Topic' button adjacent to the topics as I'm sure we are not all interested in everything - and if some are then they won't utilise it.

How to Post Pics from Flckr to Stella Forum

Hi, 

For those of you who use Flckr to store photos online, you may have noticed in Flckr that the links you use to embed images in other sites like Stella are more confusing than ever to find and use. At least that's been my experience. All my pics disappeared when I canceled my old Yahoo / Flckr account. I'm starting to add them back to the Stella forum via a new Flckr account and it was a little frustrating to figure out. 

Here's the way I have figured out how to post links to pics on Flckr:

PDF Problem and Request

First of all...GREAT SITE! I am glad I stumbled across it while trying to figure out what to do with four chicken thighs. LOL

The PDF export on the recipes section is a little broken. The resulting PDF is bringing along some of the HTML coding making the PDF longer than it needs to be and a little less readable. If that can be fixed it would be awesome.

Love the site, are content updates complete?

Been a long time follower from the FCS days and love everything you have done over the years. Thank you for all the hard work, I've learned a ton. Are you finished with the tutorials and instruction now? I check back frequently for a content update but haven't seen one in awhile. Thanks again Chef
