NEW FORUM POLICIES: Please Read

As the Stella Culinary Community continues to grow and take on new members, it's important for me to remember what this website's overall purpose is and make sure we maintain focused on our collective goals. As many of you know, the purpose of Stella Culinary is to learn more about the science and technique of cooking, and to become better cooks through increased knowledge. I originally started Stella Culinary (and FCS) because while there are lots of cooking blogs and recipe websites available, I felt that there was, and still is, a basic lack of information online when it comes to professional cooking techniques.
 
That's why after much deliberation I've chosen to no longer allow recipe postings to the Stella Culinary Forum area. While many great recipes have been shared on this forum, as our community grows, I would like this forum to be a place where people can discuss cooking techniques, the science behind food, current events in the culinary world, etc. There is no lack of recipe based websites on the internet, so I don't think it's necessary for Stella Culinary to go down this road.
 
One great recipe sharing site available is GroupRecipes.com, which I have a profile at under the name chef_jacob. I've created a Stella Culinary Group which will allow you to easily post recipes and even attach pictures. Since GroupRecipes.com is designed specifically for sharing recipes, the process of posting is much easier.
 
I know that a lot of you enjoy swapping recipes with other members of the Stella Culinary Community, which is why I created the above group. I would also encourage anyone who wants to share recipes to create a profile over on GroupRecipes.com, and then put a link to their profile in their Stella Culinary Forum Signature.
 
If you need help troubleshooting a recipe, then feel free to post it to the appropriate Stella Culinary Forum Board with the specific question or problem you have. Please remember to include the ingredient list, the steps taken, and any other information that will allow us to help you make the recipe better. If you have any questions or concerns about this new forum policy, post them to this thread.
