My name is Brian (pseudonym Jacobite.)
I'm a little embarrassed to say that I've been watching from the sideline for quite a long while without contributing to the forum; however, I've finally made the effort to get into the game, and (hopefully) make a useful contribution.
I'm an Aussie, born and bred in the heart of Sydney, but now living a rural existence in Australia's most-southern state, Tasmania - a beautiful island-state affectionately known as the " Apple Isle".
I consider myself to be an experienced home-cook whose skill and passion for cooking has grown enormously since I first stumbled across Chef Jacob and FCS while searching the web for "knife skills".
Speaking of Jacob, I want to thank him for his rare generosity in creating FCS and now SCS. So sincere thanks Chef.
As I said, I've been around for awhile, but I intend to start from podcast 1, and do the tests, homework, etc.
the way a newcomer should; however, since I'm familiar with a lot of the podcasts, my posts may jump around a little.
Anyway, that'll do me for now, but you'll hear from me in the future.
