I left out the onions and put in the following: 1/4 c. crystallized ginger from sliced, chopped 3/4 c. dark, sweet cherries from frozen, chopped (I wanted to use tart cherries, but couldn't get them) 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon zest sprinkled top with some large granulated decorating sugar These came out great.
