This recipe is a keeper.  I'd use it as a bread for the table with just about any meal.  A side for soup would be great too.  Hmmm, is there anything I'm missing?

Hi chef ,

For the all purpose flour , i find in the supermarket two kinds of all purpose flour .
the first is bleached flour and the second is unbleached . So what kind is the better for the bread ...

Thank's chef

Go with non-bleached. That's what I use in the video and what I prefer.

Hi Chef,

I modified your recipe to make a cherry-ginger scone (see pic). I left out the onions and put in the following:

  • 1/4 c. crystallized ginger from sliced, chopped
  • 3/4 c. dark, sweet cherries from frozen, chopped (I wanted to use tart cherries, but couldn't get them)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon zest
  • sprinkled top with some large granulated decorating sugar

These came out great. Flaky, not dense and very flavorful.
